The Power of Faith

Matthew 17:20 He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith ( that is your lack of firmly relying trust). For truly I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.

Without faith you cannot please God; therefore, no matter how many good works you offer, God will not be pleased if they were done to earn His favor. Faith does not come without effort. To be faith-filled you must be in a place where you are growing in God. Remember  that faith is the certain assurance of the things we hope for and the conviction of the reality of things we cannot see. Without faith, there are no miracles. There are many times in Scripture when Jesus heals because of a person’s faith, or does not heal because of a lack of faith. See acts 3:16 says ” By faith in the name of Jesus, this man who you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has given this complete healing to him, as you call all see.” Don’t try to wrap your natural understanding around a supernatural word from God. Wrap your faith around it and you will see God’s miraculous power at work. Have you ever wonder what faith in action really looks like? Study the lives of the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11:1-40, and you can see many different ways that faith was lived out in everyday life.
To obtain strong faith is to endure great trials. I have grasped my faith by standing firm amid severe testings in life.
