Day 52 – A picture of yourself celebrating for getting this far

I am under vows to you, O God; I will present my thank offerings to you. For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.  Heavenly Father, I give back all the glory and honor to you. I give You thanks for all You have done. Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son. For beauty in nature, Your glory we see, for joy and health, friends and family, for daily provision, Your mercy and care. And most of all, thank You Heavenly Father  for the knowledge you have bestowed upon me by doing this blog. So today I offer this response of praise with a promise to follow You all of my days.

Cry of the Broken

Psalm 94

94 O Lord God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

They break in pieces thy people, O Lord, and afflict thine heritage.

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;

13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

14 For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

17 Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.

19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

22 But the Lord is my defense; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God shall cut them off.

Day 50 – A movie that always makes you cry

Passion of the Christ

This movie made me cry and question myself if I am worthy of His LOVE. I salute Mel Gibson for his audacity. The movie brought a reality that is lacking in most people’s perception of what Jesus went through in order to redeem mankind. It was the greatest movie ever made about the suffering and death of God’s Holy Son for the sins of humanity. The movie was well done! Arghhhhhhhhhhhh! My tears start falling down my cheeks.

Bible Verse to remember:

John 3:16 ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Day 49 – A picture of you in your backyard

“The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely, or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy amidst the simple beauty of nature.” – Anne Frank

Quitters never win! (Pat’s prose challenge)

Quitters never win! When people say winners never quit, it really means not giving up on your ultimate goal, whether it is financial freedom, time freedom or anything you really want in life. If you fall down don’t quit! Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Don’t quit in hard times, get back up, dust yourself off, Just keep praying and going. Because the one who is within you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Day 27 – A picture of your favorite day

I can’t say I have a favorite day. What makes a day special to me is that I wake up and know that my family is fine. So I don’t really have a favorite day, but any day could be one. For instance, I could say a Sunday has always been my favorite day of the week. More specifically, Sunday morning has always been the favorite part of my day.  Besides church and free time, what really makes my Sunday great is spending time with family and friends. This by far is the greatest thing to do.

On any day God is with me each and every day of the week just as much as He is with me on Sundays. He is with me when I’m doing my daily errands  just as much as He is with me when I’m blogging. I make sure that I talk to God first before I start to write. I’m never out His presence. I need daily moments of prayer and reflection. I love God’s word. Also, I love Sunday! God sometimes uses it to restore my soul as He leads me to green pastures and still waters. But I guess right now every day is my favorite day because I’m still alive.

What about you? What is your favorite day of the week? And why?

Lord We Need You

Eternal God, whose mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself. Father God, Help my dear friend Kimmy. Help her dog Harley to fight and win her battle against her illness. Give her the strength she needs to gain back her life and joy. She has such a nice joy for Kimmy. Please take away her sickness and pain. Give her strength and health Lord. She needs it, She deserves her peace and to be without pain. Help her to get better or make it painless for her… and Kimmy. May everything we do, begin with your inspiration, continue with your help, and reach perfection under your guidance. I ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives, and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. From all my heart I thank You Oh Lord. Amen.

Learn about God by observing His creation

Deuteronomy 10:14 Look around you: Everything you see is God‘s—the heavens above and beyond, the Earth, and everything on it.

“The whole earth is a living icon of the face of God. I do not worship matter. I worship the Creator of matter who became matter for my sake, who willed to take His abode in matter, who worked out my salvation through matter. Never will I cease honoring the matter which wrought my salvation! I honor it, but not as God. Because of this I salute all remaining matter with reverence, because God has filled it with his grace and power. Through it my salvation has come to me.” — St. John of Damascus (675-749)

This Day With God

After reading Nehemiah 12, one point taken from the study is that those that minister to us are focused on being a blessing so we should make sure they are always blessed in abundance. Another point taken is that we should celebrate God’s presence and favor. We should give a shout to the Lord today for nothing can compare to the worth of God’s promise. Here’s a video to jump start your day: Shout to the Lord – Chris Tomlin.

This day with God will be amazing if we sincerely believe that each obstacle will be overcome and enthusiastically act upon each task until completion; celebrating progress throughout each day with praise.

”The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.”

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’ sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;

Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. Amen!
