Day 6 – Photo of your favorite motto, in your handwriting

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow–
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out–
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit–
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

So lovies  If you fall down,  don’t quit! Don’t burn out; keep yourself  fueled & aflame. Don’t quit in hard times, get back up, dust yourself off, and just keep going.

Ask God To Lead You!

Psalm 23:4

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Are you or is someone you love walking through that valley right now? At some point in our lives, all of us will walk through the valley of the shadow of death, either facing our own death, the death of our love one or some other extraordinarily difficult time. Remember, where there is shadow, there must be light, and the Light of the word, Jesus, has promised to be with you always. The Bible says, ” He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘ My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” Psalms 91:1-3,7. Ask Him right now that He is walking you in every situation. When you are in the presence of the Lord, you have nothing to fear. The power of the presence of God will take away all despair and doubt as you fellowship with Him.

Finding God’s Comfort in the Midst of Hopelessness

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Romans 8:28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 Corinthians 13:12 Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Ephesians 3:17-19 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Times of suffering and trials are a part of everyone’s life. Is this a time of suffering in your life? Ask God to surround you with His comfort and help you experience it in tangible ways as I did it this morning. He is able to comfort you no matter what the trial. Although it may not help right now, know that someday you will be able to comfort someone else as God comforts you.God has a way for us to do everything He places in our hearts. He does not put dreams and visions in us to frustrate us. We must keep our confidence in God all the way through to the very end, not just for a little bit and then give up when it looks as though the mountain is too big! It is untold what people can do–even people who do not appear to be to do anything. God does not usually call people who are capable; if He did, He would not get the glory. He frequently chooses those who, in the natural, feel as if they are in completely over their heads but who are ready to stand up on the inside and take bold steps of faith as they receive direction from God. When our desires seem overwhelming big and we do not see the way to accomplish them, we should remember that even though we do not know the way we know the Waymaker! Know your weaknesses and know God; know His strength and faithfulness. Remember that He is able to do ”superabundantly, far over and above” everything you could ever dare to ask or think! Have you ever been disappointed, hurt, or mistreated? Have you had changes in your life or are you experiencing loss of some kind? Have you failed in some way? Are you just simply tired? What is your trouble today? If you don’t know what to do in any specific situation, look to God. He has the answers, you just have to ask for them. God will allow people to do only a certain amount for us, and no more. Even those people who are extremely close to us cannot give us everything we need all the time. When we expect others to do for us what only God can do, we have our expectations in the wrong place, and we will always be disappointed. No comfort is as good as God’s. People can never give us what we really need unless God Himself uses other people to reach us, which He often does. Whether He uses another person to comfort you or He comforts you Himself by the Holy Spirit, let’s remind ourselves that He is the Comforter. Ask for and receive His comfort whenever you need it.

Giving Thanks In The Midst Of Circumstances

”Jesus nothing compares to this grace that rescues me,  Savior now and forever your face is all I seek. ”

Where are you in your journey right now? Are you in the middle of a trial? Maybe you’ve been obedient to walk the difficult paths the Lord presented you. Maybe you’ve even laid down your life for those God sent your way. Maybe those very paths and the people you’ve loved are the source of your pain. You wonder why your obedience seems to have been rewarded with pain. Like these men of God, Paul and Silas exercised the power of joy in the midst of very difficult circumstances. Their clothes were torn off, they were beaten with rods and thrown into jail, and yet they did nothing wrong. They expressed a supernatural joy evidenced by their praying and singing.

The act of thanksgiving and praise opens impossible doors and shakes loose all chains. Sometimes we find ourselves constrained by our circumstances. Don’t be afraid when that happens. Perhaps the reason is so that you can be a blessing to those around you. In acts 16, we sometimes forget that Paul and Silas were not the only ones freed from prison. All the prisoners’ chains were shaken loose. The keeper of the prison himself gave his life to Jesus Christ. The one who was responsible for holding all of these men in bondage repented and came to Christ because Paul and Silas did not ever fail to give thanks. That is the power of gratitude and thanksgiving to God our Heavenly Father. As a result of seeing firsthand and supernatural joy of Paul and Silas, the jailer was saved. see Acts 16:27-34. Keep giving thanks.

He is big enough to deliver you from your circumstances and to do a great work through you. I believe more people in the world will receive salvation that waits for them when we truly begin to express the joy of their salvation. We all go through things in this life and sometimes trials are unbearable. We have the promises of God always being there for each one of us. The Bible is full of God’s promises, and those are His words. We can use His Words to get out of sticky situation. We need to have open hearts. God’s Word and our hearts will affirm truth to us when we hear truth. Our minds may be closed, but our hearts must be open to God to allow Him to do new things in our lives.

Upon reading Acts 16, I realized that meeting God in the middle of the pain is exactly what made me who I am in Him today. I am better off having experienced God in the darkness than if I never had the tears. That is what gives me hope during the valleys of pain that come my way. May all of us who are presently in a dark place hold steady to God’s goodness. In every situation we are in, we need to give thanks to the Lord. Let our hearts be filled with worship and our minds set on praising the Lord. If you are sick and you know of a friend who is sick also, pray for them.

You will find so much joy in seeing your prayer answered, as you believe when you pray and see your friend regaining strength and health to his body. If you see someone struggling to make ends meet, maybe that extra loaf of bread in your freezer is the key they need to see that the Lord is still looking out and providing for them. Dear fellows, go to your prayer room where it is just you and God. Pray and stay in prayer until you have found the Lord. Seek His face while there is still time. Darkness is upon the earth and the enemy is looking and hunting down the weak vessels. Seek the Lord while He can still be found! Do not wait until it is too late. Before the Lord can come for all He has appointed and chosen, repentance must come.
