Letter to my brother in Christ

Dear Kuya,Image

10th of May 2013, It was raining that morning. I sat at the kitchen table with a cuppa, find you on fb and there I met you. I’m staring blankly at the headlines of a paper, remembering the dream start to fill the line though they did not make the leap into my mind; only one thought held dominion there. Oh what an angel sent to me from somewhere up above heaven or what have you our friendship was perfect. One thing is certain, I knew you were sent from heaven.

Until 23rd Wednesday of May we grew apart… it seems things are never as perfect as they might appear at the start… I keep you friend tucked soundly in my mind, buried deep inside where only I can hear them. Somewhere in the future I’ll see you then.

P.S: I write about you, because that’s what my heart wishes for.

xoxo,
Nizy

I Will Rise!

Psalm 27

~*~

The Lord is my light and my salvation—

    whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life—

    of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked advance against me

    to devour me,

it is my enemies and my foes

    who will stumble and fall.

Though an army besiege me,

    my heart will not fear;

though war break out against me,

    even then I will be confident.

One thing I ask from the Lord,

    this only do I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

    all the days of my life,

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord

    and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble

    he will keep me safe in his dwelling;

he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent

    and set me high upon a rock.

Then my head will be exalted

    above the enemies who surround me;

at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;

    I will sing and make music to the Lord.

Hear my voice when I call, Lord;

    be merciful to me and answer me.

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”

    Your face, Lord, I will seek.

Do not hide your face from me,

    do not turn your servant away in anger;

    you have been my helper.

Do not reject me or forsake me,

    God my Savior.

Though my father and mother forsake me,

    the Lord will receive me.

Teach me your way, Lord;

    lead me in a straight path

    because of my oppressors.

Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,

    for false witnesses rise up against me,

    spouting malicious accusations.

I remain confident of this:

    I will see the goodness of the Lord

    in the land of the living.

Wait for the Lord;

    be strong and take heart

    and wait for the Lord.

There is warmth in the Light of God

Psalm 86

Hear me, Lord, and answer me,
for I am poor and needy.
Guard my life, for I am faithful to you;
save your servant who trusts in you.
You are my God; have mercy on me, Lord,
for I call to you all day long.
Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
When I am in distress, I call to you,
because you answer me.

Among the gods there is none like you, Lord;
no deeds can compare with yours.
All the nations you have made
will come and worship before you, Lord;
they will bring glory to your name.
For you are great and do marvelous deeds;
you alone are God.

Teach me your way, Lord,
that I may rely on your faithfulness;
give me an undivided heart,
that I may fear your name.
I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart;
I will glorify your name forever.
For great is your love toward me;
you have delivered me from the depths,
from the realm of the dead.

Arrogant foes are attacking me, O God;
ruthless people are trying to kill me—
they have no regard for you.
But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Turn to me and have mercy on me;
show your strength in behalf of your servant;
save me, because I serve you
just as my mother did.
Give me a sign of your goodness,
that my enemies may see it and be put to shame,
for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

God’s Timing is Perfect!

Sometimes it is easy to think that we can do all things in our own, then we stumble, get frustrated and we feel like life seems falling apart. We forget to pray! Pray about it! Often times, we’ve prayed, fasted, explored countless options and feel helpless because of “unanswered” prayers, well maybe we’re lacking of faith. FAITH and PRAYER must come together. Matthew 17:20 ‘’He replied, “Because you have so little faith.  I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Whenever I read this verse, it brings me peace while I wait! I know that sooner or later God will reveal His purpose in my life. Let’s pray and have faith while waiting, for God’s TIMING is PERFECT!

Patience is not just the ability to wait; it is the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting. WAITING is part of life. Often times we do not wait well and yet, we just complain when all we need to do is pray, have faith and believe that God will work wondrous in our lives. Let’s be PRAYERFUL and seek to obey God. There is nothing God doesn’t already know. He knows our deepest desires, our joys, pain and hopes. And He wants us to share those with Him. Prayer is the ray that connects us with God.

Day 50 – A movie that always makes you cry

Passion of the Christ

This movie made me cry and question myself if I am worthy of His LOVE. I salute Mel Gibson for his audacity. The movie brought a reality that is lacking in most people’s perception of what Jesus went through in order to redeem mankind. It was the greatest movie ever made about the suffering and death of God’s Holy Son for the sins of humanity. The movie was well done! Arghhhhhhhhhhhh! My tears start falling down my cheeks.

Bible Verse to remember:

John 3:16 ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.- Colossians 3:15-17

My Solitude with Christ

Imagining  myself in the place of Jesus, lying there in the house where I feel safe, comforted, loved and accepted. Picturing  how much harder the decision to leave would have been if Jesus had ignored that restless  so during my solitude I usually “Get up and go out or lock my room to pray fervently  ”  and in the midst of my solitude, God is calling.

” Today, I’m not anti-social.  I’m just enjoying my solitude.”

xoxo,

No weapon formed against me shall prosper!

Isaiah 54:17

No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.

~*~My understanding to this verse is God uses every situation for His great purpose to those who love Him. The rest of the verse means  that we will have justice against what others say. So even if  evil things is set before you, God is there to protect you! And everything will turn out in your favor.~*~

WE ARE CALLED TO BE DISCIPLES

Matthew 28: 19-20

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Have you ever wondered about your purpose in life? Know that you have been called by God to teach others about who He is and what it means to follow Him. The commandment that Jesus gave to His disciples is an urgent call to all born-again Christians. One of my purpose why I blog is to spread the good news on how God changed my life. We need to be reminded that we are in the last days of our time on earth, and the kingdom of heaven is at hand. As Christians this is wonderful news. It means that we don’t have long to wait until that glorious day when we will see God and walk heaven’s streets of gold. It also means that our time is growing short to act on Jesus’ commandments to make disciples of all nations. We cannot delay any longer. Too many are at risk of dying without Jesus! We can no longer just sit within the walls of the church on Sunday mornings. We must step out in faith and spread the Gospel message in a great end-time harvest of souls.

 Our job as believers is not to stay in, but to go out to a lost and hurting world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We can go out in confidence, knowing that God’s Holy Spirit is empowering US. God gave us the authority to do so, and has promised to not leave you on your own, but to be with you always. Ask God to show you where He wants you to go. To someone close to you, in your neighborhood, perhaps even in your own family. So that you can help others follow Him too. In order to follow Jesus, we must deny ourselves and lose sight of our own interests. We must continually and steadfastly cling to Jesus in every aspect of our lives. The only way to experience true happiness is to allow God to work through you to bless others.

Lord We Need You

Eternal God, whose mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your Holy Will, which is love and mercy itself. Father God, Help my dear friend Kimmy. Help her dog Harley to fight and win her battle against her illness. Give her the strength she needs to gain back her life and joy. She has such a nice joy for Kimmy. Please take away her sickness and pain. Give her strength and health Lord. She needs it, She deserves her peace and to be without pain. Help her to get better or make it painless for her… and Kimmy. May everything we do, begin with your inspiration, continue with your help, and reach perfection under your guidance. I ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives, and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. From all my heart I thank You Oh Lord. Amen.

Lord Protect My Nation

O heavenly Father, our Protector and Guide, You are the greatest friend and joy that we have. I come to you Lord to ask for your protection. It is not for me that I want to pray today, Dear Father, but for those who are near and dear to me and about whom I am worrying. You know what they are facing, dear Father. Almighty God, I raise my heart to You in gratefulness, for the wonders of creation of which we are part, for Your providence in sustaining us in our needs, and for Your wisdom that guides the course of the universe. I acknowledge our sins against You and the rest of your creation. We have not been good keepers of nature. We have tangled Your command to subdue the earth. And now we reap the harvest of our abuse and indifference. Global warming is upon us. Typhoons, flood and other natural calamities occur in the increasing number and intensity. We turn to you our loving Father, and beg for forgiveness for our shortcomings. We ask that we, our loved ones and our hard-earned possessions be spared from the threat of calamities, natural and man-made. Protect my fellow Filipinos from this calamity that they are facing today. Forgive them their sins and put love of others in their hearts. Lord, I deeply pray for the safety and protection of all people in the Philippines. Father lay your hands on them. May you give them strength and courage in times of this. May you shower your mercy upon them. Keep them safe from harm Oh God. I pray this prayer in the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ Your one and only Son who died and rose again for remission of sin, I bind, rebuke and render powerless: all division, discord, disunity, strife, wrath, murder, criticism, condemnation, pride, envy, jealously, gossip, evil speaking, complaining, lying, false teaching, false gifts, false manifestations, lying signs and wonders, poverty, fear of lack, witchcraft spirits, spirits of antichrist and all familiar and territorial spirits. I claim a hedge of protection, by the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Amen
